FORCE ease to third straight victory in 1st MNCA U-23 Women's One Day Trophy

IMPHAL, Apr 6 : Neha shone with both the bat and ball to seal FORCE's third straight victory in the Group A competition of the ongoing 1st MNCA U-23 Women's One Day Trophy at Kongba Dhobi Lampak today.
FORCE, having sealed victories against PTRC and PSC in the previous matches, defeated SHADOW by 18 runs thanks to Neha.
Neha contributed highest 68 off 75 (7 fours) balls to help FORCE post 121/9 in the first innings before picking three wickets (3/9 in 2.2 overs) and led in dismantling SHADOW for 103 runs in 23.2 overs.
Neha and Sumeiya Shahni 10 off 34 balls were the only double digit run getters for FORCE as Hanglem Priyanshee ran riot and returned with the best bowling figures of 5/19 in 6 overs while fourth others picked a wicket apiece.
In reply, Sapam Kebriya 47 off 68 balls emerged the only double digit run getter as her compatriots ended up scoring single digit scores.
Neha (3/9) and Barkatun Khanam (2/13) of FORCE shared five SHADOW wickets as three others managed a wicket apiece to pace up the collapse.
Neha was adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at THAU ground, YPHUC, Lalambung crushed Al-Ameen by 7 wickets for their first Group A win in two matches.
YPHUC chose to field first and bundled out Al-Ameen for 107 runs in 22.1 overs thanks to Tongbram Nilky (3/19), Loktongbam Terina (3/25), Waikhom Suchitra (2/16) and Charoibam Joyshree (2/20) and chased down the target in 19.4 overs with 7 wickets left to spare.
Khulem Linthoi 19 off 34 balls, Najiya Begum 13 off 6 and Farhana 10 off 24 led the scoring for Al-Ameen before Tongbram Nilky added an unbeaten 32 off 34 balls to seal the victory with W Suchitra 12 not out off 29.
Nilky was adjudged player of the match.
