IMPHAL, Apr 5 : REYS, Khwai Nagamapal Lamabam Leikai defeated KSDO, Kyamgei by 8 wickets to temporarily go top of Group B table in the ongoing 2nd Biramangol Memorial Trophy today at Model Hr Sec and Oriental College ground.
KSDO opted to bat first but were dismissed for 130 runs in 33.5 overs as Naoshekpam Manglemba (4/18), Kangujam Ringku (4/34) and Sapam Bikash (2/31) wreaked havoc before REYS eased to the target in 19.2 overs thanks to unbeaten third wicket partnership between Sapam Bikash 48 off 55 (2 fours) and N Manglemba 30 off 26 after Romario's quickfire 34 off 29 balls.
Khutheibam Abu Sufiyan 30, Md Arif Khan 25 and Md Washim 21 led the scoring for KSDO in their innings while Md Shah Jahan (2/60) picked both the REYS wicket.
N Manglemba who produced an allround performance was adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at Khudeiband Lampak, CHAMP posted their second Group B win by beating SHADOW, Thangmeiband  by 5 wickets.
Toss winners SHADOW were bundled out for 160 runs in 37.4 overs despite Sagatpam Lanchenba's 72-ball 51 as Md Babu (3/23) and Afjal Khan (3/26) combined well for CHAMP who took just 20.1 overs to seal the victory on the back of Afjal Khan 38 off 31 and Samir 31 off 22.
Chinglemba Haobam (3/42) and Y Bharatngamba (2/23) shared five wickets for SHADOW in a lost cause.
Afjal Khan who starred with both the bat and ball was adjudged player of the match.
The day also saw AMCA and PTCC secure wins in Group A matches.
At Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground, Konsam Mangal 's 6 wicket haul went in vain as AMCA, Thoubal fought their way to the winning 140/9 in 26 overs after bundling out toss winners YPHUC, Lalambung for 135 runs in 33.4 overs.
Irom Ishor 36 off 53 and Irom Sunny 32 off 23 led the scoring for YPHUC in an innings that saw Moichingmayum Md Yakin (4/14) and Hanif (3/23) sharing 7 crucial wickets for AMCA.
In the chase, K Mangal picked 6 wickets to disturb the AMCA line up but contributions from Kh Fariyaz 38 off 51, Md Sharif 25 off 34, Moichingmayum Md Anash 23 not out off 16 and 33 extras steered AMCA to the winning 140.
Moichingmayum Md Yakin of AMCA who played a crucial role in bundling out YPHUC was adjudged player of the match.
At Lairenjam Public  Ground, PTCC beat Model Club by 20 runs after posting 200/8 in 40 overs thanks to leading batting performances from Paonam Champions 50 off 56, M Dominic 30 off 22, M Harishor 28 off 62 and M Andy 25.
N Bishal (2/23), N Dibak (2/34) and A Bobby (2/41) led the bowling charge for Model Club after PTCC opted to bat first.
In reply, Nameirakpam Ramananda 37, M Akash 25, Y Suson 25, N Dibak 24 and N Bisal 19 led the scoring in a lost cause.
M Dominic (2/29), N Langamba (2/51) and L Anao (2/20) of PTCC shared 6 wickets among them as T Devas and L Khilchandra picked a wicket apiece.
Moirangthem Dominic who produced an allround feat was eventually declared man of the match.
