Kukis burn Naga houses

Senapati, Apr 4 : In a disturbing event which could flare up communal animosity amongst different communities, the Tumuyon Khullen villagers alleged that some 30-40 Kuki volunteers torched some houses at Kazanga village which is a revenue village of Maram Naga tribe yesterday.
According to the villagers, the incident happened at around 2 pm.
They alleged that the Kuki volunteers who burnt the houses were from Valpabung village and they were armed.
Valpabung village is under Saikul sub-division.
In this regard, the chief of Tumuyon Khullen village has registered an FIR at Kangpokpi Police station today.
