1st MNCA U-23 Women's One Day Trophy SHADOW kickstart Group B league campaign with 75-run victory over PCC

IMPHAL, Apr 2 : SHADOW, Thangmeiband kicked off their Group B campaign in the 1st MNCA U-23 Women's One Day Trophy with a 75-run victory against PCC, Mayaikoibi today at Kongba Dhobi Lampak.
SHADOW opted to bat first and racked up 219 for 6 wickets in the allotted 35 overs thanks to Sapam Kebriya's 72-ball 71 before their bowlers put in a concerted effort to restrict PCC to 144/7 in reply.
Moirangthem Nirupama 37 off 67, Kangabam Smita 22 off 57 and Laishram Viviene also managed double digit scores for SHADOW in their innings that saw PCC bowlers conceding 65 extras.
For PCC, Nongthombam Langlenthoibi  returned with the best figures of 3/30 in 7 overs as Tokpam Nilopher picked one (1/33) before Nongthombam Langlenthoibi 34 off 58, Okram Yashika 43 off 89 and Keithellakpam Katrina 16 off 34 led the chase.
Hanglem Priyanshee (2/22), Wahengbam Priyabati (2/31) and Sagatpam Henthoibi (2/23) shared 6 wickets for SHADOW as Thokchom Victoria (1/17) grabbed a wicket to help her team apply break to the chase.
Sapam Kebriya who topscored for SHADOW was eventually adjudged player of the match.
