RNEF, YUCC emerge victories in 2nd Mema Memorial Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament

IMPHAL, Apr 2 : RNEF, Mayang Imphal and YUCC, Kwakeithel Moirangpurel secured victories in today's matches of the ongoing 2nd Khomdram Ongbi Hijam Mema Memorial T-20 Veteran Cricket Tournament.
In the Group B match staged today, RNEF posted a commanding total of 181 for 4 and bowled out LCC, Lamsang for 127 runs in 18.4 overs to end their league campaign with a  54-run victory.
Max was unbeaten on a 54-ball 74 as Jagdish added 59 off 30 balls as RNEF opted to bat first. The innings saw Romendro of LCC claiming two wickets (2/32) as Michael and Rajiv claimed a wicket apiece.
In reply, LCC slumped to 127 all out as Jasobanta 4/22 and Sanatomba 3/25 of RNEF shared 7 wickets between them.
Later in a Group C match, YUCC, Kwakeithel Moirangpurel beat Model Club, Chingamakha by 11 runs.
YUCC, amassed 135 for 9 wickets after electing to bat first and defended their total by restricting Model Club to 124/5 in reply.
