REYS, BSC triumph in Mema Memorial Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament

IMPHAL, Mar 24 : REYS, Nagamapal and BSC, Brahmapur Sangai Chuthek emerged victorious in today's matches of the ongoing 2nd Khomdram Ongbi Hijam Mema Devi Memorial T-20 Veteran Cricket Tournament.
In the first match of the day, REYS posted 140/6 after electing to bat first and restricted YUCC, Kwakeithel Moirangpurel Leikai to 127/5 to seal a 13-run victory.
Dhaneshwor 22, Rajesh 22, S Jayenta 19, Chingkheinganba 19 and Th Pyarlal 18 not out led the REYS scoring in an innings that saw YUCC's Tomba claiming two wickets (2/16) and three others claiming a wicket apiece.
For YUCC, Risk toscored with 43 off 42 followed by Shivananda 26 and Kh Raju 15 but their efforts fell short as they ended up gathering 127 runs. Momo of REYS picked two wickets (2/28) as three others fetched a wicket apiece.
Later in the day, BSC restricted YAC, Yaiskul to 108/9 before easing to the winning 112 in 14.4 overs with 7 wickets left to spare.
James 26 and Rakesh 24 led the scoring for YAC in their innings that saw N Rajibkumar of BSC enjoying a three wicket haul (3/18 in 4 overs) while Robert (2/7 in 4 overs) and AK Romesh (2/24) shared four wickets.
In reply, Rishi scored an unbeaten 62 off 45 balls to seal the victory for BSC in 14.4 overs after James of YAC picked two wickets (2/23 in 4 overs).
