THOUBAL, Mar 22 : The District Youth Affairs and Sports Officer, Thoubal and Khello India Centre (KIC) TT, Thoubal today jointly launched "ASMITA City Table Tennis League, 2025" at the indoor stadium of Thoubal District Table Tennis Association, Thoubal.
The two day event is being organised under the auspices of Khelo India with a special objective to nurture, encourage and support girl athletes from grassroots level.
The opening function of the event that will see around 35 girl players in the U-11, U-13, U-15 and U-17 age groups compete for top honours, was attended by Mutum Mani Singh, president Thoubal District Olympic Association (TDOA); Moirangthem Deven, District Youth Affairs & Sports Officer (DYASO) Thoubal; Dr Okram Ibopishak Singh, former president, Thoubal District Table Tennis Association and Konsam Michael Singh, Retd Asst Director of SAI (NERC) Takyel and president of Thoubal District Table Tennis Association as presidium members.
