2nd MNCA H Biramangol Singh Memorial Trophy RCA steamroll YPHUC by 364 runs for second straight victory, YWC on roll

IMPHAL, Mar 22 : RCA, Lilong rode on Aziz Mirza and Zamir Khan to devastate YPHUC, Lalambung by 364 runs and sealed their second straight Group A win in the ongoing 2nd MNCA U-23 Men's H Biramangol Singh Memorial Trophy.
Aziz Mirza clobbered 8 fours and 7 sixes to dazzle with a 58-ball 111 while Md Alfash added 78 off 42 as RCA posted a commanding total of 400/7 in 40 overs after winning the toss and opting to bat first at Moijing Public Ground.  RCA then bowled out YPHUC for a meagre total of 36 runs within 17 overs to seal the huge win.
Md Imran 47 off 52, Md Danish Khan 28 off 16, Zamir Khan 26 off 19 and Syed Hussain 25 off 13 also made significant scores for RCA in an innings that saw Birbal Irom (2/56) and Konsam Mangal (2/32) sharing a wicket apiece.
Irom Ishor and Bishworaj Sharma also picked a wicket apiece for YPHUC before they had a forgettable chase. Only Irom Sunny 13 off 22 was the double digit run getter for YPHUC as Zamir Khan ran riot to return with the best bowling figures of 6/4 in 4 overs that included 3 maidens.
Illiyas of RCA in the meantime picked two wickets (2/10 in 5 overs) as Aziz Mirza and Naesh Hussain claimed a wicket apiece.
Zamir Khan who added 26 runs and picked 6 wickets to demolish YPHUC line up was eventually adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at Lairenjam Public ground, KASC, Khomidok registered their first Group B victory in two matches by beating SHADOW, Thangmeiband by 36 runs.
Toss winners KASC were bundled out for 157 runs in 31.4 overs as Chinglembam Haobam (3/32 in 8 overs) and Yendrembam Bharatngamba (3/37 in 7 overs) and Sagatpam Lanchenba (2/34 in 7 overs) of SHADOW shared a bulk of 8 wickets among them.
SHADOW however faltered badly in the chased and were dismissed for just 121 runs in 32.2 overs despite Kh Devis' fighting 43 off 71 balls as Bm Afsar (3/25 in 7 overs) and Leishangkhong Maqubul Fida Ali (3/24 in 8 overs) made things hard for them.
Earlier, Mujamin 32 off 47 and Md Abdulgani 30 off 48 led the scoring for KASC.
Bm Afsar was adjudged player of the match.
Meanwhile at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground, YWC, Langthabal notched up a 199-run victory against FORCE, Kshetrigao to extend their Group C winning run to three games.
Nepram Herojit scored a 82-ball 101 (13 fours and 4 sixes) and Maibam Subash hit a 43-ball 60 (6 fours and 1 six) to inspire YWC a huge total of 342/7 in 40 overs before they bundled out FORCE for 143 runs within 29.3 overs thanks to Yumnam Athouba (3/17 in 4 overs), Yumnam Chingkheinganba (3/25 in 7 overs) and Soubam Robinson (2/20 in 6.3 overs).
Heisnam Manikanta 48 off 47, Seram Robinson 44 off 20 and Thokchom Rickymenan 38 off 34 also managed significant scores for YWC after the opted to bat first as Zahid Sheikh led the futile chase with a 43-ball 52 (5 fours and 4 sixes).
Elsewhere at Khudeiband Lampak, RULE, Meitram ended their 2-game Group D losing run with a 6-wicket thrashing of Blue Hawk, Khurai Lamlong.
Blue Hawk elected to bat first but were dismissed for 114 runs in 35.3 overs as RULE bowlers were in brilliant form and RULE cruised to the winning 116 in 16.1 overs with 6 wickets left to spare.
Nandakishor 27 off 43, Wangmayum Farid 19 off 15 and M Romesh 19 off 34 led the scoring for the Khurai Lamlong side in the innings that saw Sanjenbam Suresh (3/10), Rojit (3/43), Jay (2/15) and S Indrakumar (2/23) of RULE sharing 10 wickets among them.
In reply, Jay scored a leading 46 off 42 balls before S Manikhomba 5 and N Richer 4 finished off the chase. H Samsung (2/30) and Dp Saheer (2/35) shared four wickets for Blue Hawk in this innings.
Jay who produced an allround performance was adjudged player of the match.
