MSL : S Albert at the double as YPHU thrash TRAU 4-1

IMPHAL, Feb 5 : Sapam Albert Meitei scored twice in the second half to hand Young Physiques' Union (YPHU), Lalambung a comfortable 4-1 win over Tiddim Road Athletic Union (TRAU), Kwakeithel in the fifth match of the 17th Manipur State League.
The two sides had a cautious start and cancelled out one another to enter into the lemon break without any goal.
YPHU put in more effort after the restart and took the lead after 50 minutes thanks to Sapam Albert before Thongam Priyaball coolly converted a penalty kick in the 55th minute to double the lead.
There was no looking back for the team after two goals as Albert found the net yet again in the 73rd minute to make it 3-0.
The Kwakeithel side, who were reeling under huge pressure, pulled back a goal through Akoijam Bolly in the 82nd minute but saw Irengbam Indrajit who came off the bench after the break extended YPHU's lead to 4-1 in the 83rd minute.
The scoreline remained unchanged despite efforts from both sides to add on in the remainder of the game.
