IMPHAL, Feb 5 : PTRC, Patsoi Part IV; KCC, Kongba Bazar; Al-Ameen, Lilong and MPA, Thounaojam emerged victorious in today's matches of the 4th MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament 2024-25.
In a Group D match staged at Kongba Dhobi Lampak, PTRC won the toss and gathered 241 runs for 3 wickets in the allotted 30 overs before bowling out BKCC, Bamon Kampu for 137 runs in 26.2 overs.
Priyojit Thongam was 5 runs away from hitting a ton off 67 balls while Bedabiyas added 64 runs off 73 balls and Mangal Sagolshem added unbeaten 31 to inspire PTRC the commanding total before Th Priyokumar picked five wickets (5/28 in 6 overs) and Bedabiyas claimed two wickets (2/17 in 5.2 overs) to bowl out BKCC for 137 runs.
Priyokumar was eventually adjudged player of the match.
In the Group C match staged today at Lairenjam Public Ground, KCC beat WYC, Wangkhem by 44 runs.
Put in to bat first, KCC were bowled out for 167 runs in 26.1 overs but the total proved too big for WYC as they slumped to 123 all out within 20 overs of the chase.
For KCC, Niyas Khan scored a 53-ball 64 as WYC's Puyam Mukta (3/26), W Tomthinganba (3/31) and Puyam Bhagat (2/24) managed 8 wickets.
For WYC, Maibam Dhanakuber scored an unbeaten 75 off 47 balls but his effort went in vain as no batter lend a better hand to him with Thoungamba Kshetrimayum (5/30 in 6 overs), Niyas Khan (2/27) and Md Rahish Khan (2/6) devastating their line up.
Niyas Khan was eventually declared player of the match.
Elsewhere at Khudeiband Lampak, Al-Ameen demolished CHAMP Cricket Club, Khagempalli by 275 runs for the third Group F win.
Al-Ameen racked up a huge total of 322 runs for 8 wickets courtesy of Sheikh Anisur Rahaman 64 not out off 81 ball, Mudashir 46 and 98 extras before Shohel Akter (5/14) and Sheikh Anisur Rahaman (4/23) dismantled CHAMP Cricket Club line up and bowl them out for 47 runs in 11.4 overs.
For CHAMP, Abdul Wakip (4/39) and Thoiba Yurembam (2/33) led the bowling attack.
Sheikh Anisur who shone with both the bat and ball was adjudged player of the match.
Meanwhile, MPA beat SSC, Porompat by 5 wickets in a Group E match at PTRC Ground, Patsoi Part IV.
Ch Yohenba picked 5 wickets (5/17) while Ch Sitaranjan (2/17) and E Sanatomba (2/14) to bundle out SSC for 66 runs in 11.1 overs before Chongtham Priyokumar 31 not out steered MPA to winning 67 in 14.1 overs despite Sadique's four-for (4/20) for SSC.
