NPP decides to sit on Oppn bench

IMPHAL, Feb 5 : Its official, NPP MLAs will sit on the Opposition bench in the ensuing Assembly session which commences February 10.
Addressing a function at Thiyam Leishangkhong today, NPP MLA representing Wangoi Kh Loken said that all the party MLAs will sit on the Opposition bench as decided by party National leaders during the seventh session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly.
He said that former NPP Manipur Pradesh president N Kayisii who passed away recently submitted a letter to Speaker Th Satyabrata the decision of the party to sit on the Opposition without consulting them.
He said that they (the NPP MLAs) earlier thought of sitting in the ruling bench as they were unaware of N Kayisii's letter
Saying that NPP National president Conrad Sangma has also taken a decision to let the NPP MLAs sit on the Opposition bench, Loken said that they will obey the instruction of the party president. He also said that the NPP MLAs will do whatever they can to resolve the crisis in Manipur.
Loken further said that he is developing 17 open gyms at different places in Wangoi.
