Jiribam shut indefinitely

JIRIBAM, Feb 4: Denouncing lack of required staff and infrastructure at District Hospital, the whole of Jiribam has been shut indefinitely.
The shutdown from the intervening night of February 3 and February 4 was announced by the District Hospital Monitoring Committee.
Further, economic blockade will be imposed on National Highway 37 from February 4 midnight, it added.
All shops, schools, offices and businesses were shut in the district today.
Security forces were deployed to thwart unwanted incidents.
The shutdown may continue until demands are met, said the District Hospital Monitoring Committee.
