TCMDC, AMCA, YWC-L, YAL emerge victorious in 4th U-14 Boys Tournament

IMPHAL, Feb 3 : TCMDC, Thongju Part II; AMCA, Thoubal; YWC, Langthabal (YWC-L) and YAL, Thoubal Leishangthem registered wins in today's matches of the ongoing 4th U-14 Boys Tournament.
In the Group A match staged today at Lairenjam Public Ground, AMCA trounced CCK, Khongman by 299 runs for the second straight victory.
59 extras and half century knocks from Hanif (61 off 32 balls) and Yakil (57 off 40 balls) inspired AMCA a huge total of 329/7 in 30 overs after CCK opted to field first.
Moirangthem Devajit's 4-wicket haul for CCK went in vain as their batting department faltered badly in reply and they went down for 30 runs in 9 overs as Kh Fariyaz Khan (5/11) and Kh Shahid (3/6) of AMCA wreaked havoc.
TCMDC meanwhile sealed their first Group B win in two matches by handing CDCC, Sagolband Salam Leikai a 15-run defeat at Kongba Dhobi Lampak.
Choosing to bat first, TCMDC amassed 171/7 in 30 overs riding on 78 extras and leading double digit knocks from Y Tomthinnganba 29, S Dipachandra 18 not out,  S Bolyson 14 before S Bolyson (4/35), S Nongshaba (3/21) and Kh Pibarel (2/15) joined forces to dismiss CDCC for 156 runs in 24.1 overs.
Elsewhere at PTRC ground, Patsoi Part IV, YAL bowled out toss winners PTCC for 158 runs in 28.1 overs and chased down the target in 26.3 overs thanks to Gunindro Thoudam's unbeaten 57 off 71 balls and Thoiba's quickfire 44.
Earlier, Thoiba enjoyed a 6-wicket haul (6/16 in 6 overs) and Gunindro picked two wickets (2/27) to set up PTCC collapse despite Somobanta's spirited 31-ball 55.
YWC-L meanwhile sealed their third straight victory in the Group D league round by defeating FORCE, Kshetrigao by 9 wickets at Khudeiband Lampak, Taothong.
FORCE opted to bat first but were bundled out for 81 runs in 18.3 overs as YWC-L's Soyanba (7/10 in 3.3 overs) and L Chinglemba (2/4) rattled their line up before Sayonba 37 and Mujamin 13 produced an unbeaten second wicket partnership  to set up the 9 wicket win.
