IMPHAL, Feb 2 : PCC, Mayaikoibi cruised to their fourth win on the trot in the 2nd MNCA U-15 Women's One Day Trophy courtesy of Ningthoisana Thoudam's all round performance at THAU ground, Thangmeiband today.
Ningthoisana Thoudam blazed 19 fours on the way to her unbeaten 109 off 59 balls and Nongthombam Langlenthoibi scored a 65-ball 90 as PCC racked up 327 runs for 8 wickets in 30 overs after winning the toss and electing to bat first. They then dismissed MPA, Thounaojam for 31 runs in 15.5 overs riding on Ningthoisana (4/13 in 4.5 overs), Nongthombam Langlenthoibi (3/4 in 3 overs) and Laishram Anjali (3/8 in 5 overs).
The first innings saw MPA's Salaingambi Thokchom pick two wickets (2/66 in 6 overs) as Y Echapamu and Ch Nevia grabbed a wicket apiece.
Chasing the huge total, 8 batters of MPA went out on ducks while L Bandana 4 and Ch Nevia 2 emerged leading run getters in the face of impressive PCC bowlers.
Elsewhere at PCC ground, Mayaikoibi, Al-Ameen sealed a narrow 1 wicket win by chasing down a target of 204 set up by SHADOW, Thangmeiband.
Al-Ameen opted to field first and dismissed SHADOW for 203 runs in 24.3 overs and crawled their way to winning 204 thanks to 73 extras and notable contributions from Najiya Begum 47, Farhana 27 and Laishram Langlenthoibi 24 not out.
For SHADOW, Viviene Laishram hit a 46-ball 57 as Victoria Thokchom 28 and Hanglem Malemnganbi 20 followed suit in an innings that saw Najiya Begum return with the best bowling figures of 5/43. Farhana (3/24) and Linthoi Khulem (2/52) meanwhile shared the remaining 5 wickets.
Th Victoria (2/47), H Malemnganbi (2/31), Ch Priyadasni (1/42) and S Henthoibi (1/47) were among the wickets for SHADOW.
