7 suspected KNA cadres arrested with arms

Seven suspected cadres of KNA were arrested by se-curity forces during a pa- trolling and area domination exercise at Old Khaukual village, Churachandpur dis-trict under Sangaikot police station on February 14.
The suspected cadres arrested by security forces have been identified as Seikhogin Haokip alias Gigin (37), Ngamlenmang Mate alias Mangneo (25), Seikhomang Haokip alias Selmang (25), Thanglel-mang Haokip alias Mangboi (27), Jamkhosei Haokip alias Seipu (32), Lhunkholal Khongsai alias Lalboi (34) and Mangkhangthang Kip-gen alias Mamang (35).
Two AK-47 rifles, one 7.62 assault rifle, three single bore rifles, ten maga- zines of AK-47, 654 live rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition, 19 live cartridges of single bore, six cell phones, three Baofeng radio sets and many other items were seized from their possession, said a press release issued by the Police Control Room.    
Search operation carried out by security forces at Senam village, Tengnoupal district on February 14 led to recovery of  one 9 mm pistol with magazine (local made), one 7.65 mm pistol with magazine (made in Russia), two improvised long range mortar (local made), 15 improvised explosive devices (weighing 70 kg in all), 10 live rounds of 7.62 mm SLR ammunition, 10 live rounds of 7.62 mm AK ammunition, 25 live rounds of INSAS rifle, 10 nos of 7.62 mm RIM Made live rounds, five live rounds of 9 mm pistol, three live rounds of 7.65 mm pistol, four 36 hand grenades, 10 electric detonators and five detonators.
Two 12 bore pump guns, one single barrel rifle (local made), four 36 hand grenades, two Motorola sets with Battery (Baofeng) and 94 live rounds of 12 bore ammunition were recovered in another search operation carried out in the areas of border pillar numbers 73 and 74 in Tengnoupal district on February 14.
Meanwhile, one active cadre of PREPAK (Pro) identified as Yumlembam Arunkumar alias Chingkhei (36) was arrested by Bishnupur district police from Okshongbung Maning Leikai, Bishnupur district on February 15.
Four active members of KCP(PWG) were also arrested by police from Huikap (near oil pump), Imphal East district on February 15.
They have been identified as Chaphamayum Sunder Singh alias Suresh (39), Nongthombam Boinao Meitei alias Lanjadaba (48), Leichongbam Ibesana Devi alias Pangthungnganbi (26) and Maibam Tony Chanu alias Chingkheinganbi (23).    
Two 9 mm pistols with two magazines, ten live rounds of 9 mm ammunition, one live round of .32 ammunition and some incriminating documents and booklets were seized from their possession.
On the other hand, security forces dismantled volunteer check posts at Kaprang and S Kwatlian in  Churachandpur district on NH-2 on February 15.
Police also conducted surprise checking for tinted/black films sold at car accessory shops located at MG Avenue, Thangal Bazar under City police station, Imphal West district.
During the checking, 10  black film rolls were detected at three shops and brought to City police station.
Further, the car accessory shops owners were directed not to sell black film rolls in future.
