Postmortem of three CRPF personnel who were killed in a shooting incident at Lamshang police station yesterday have been conducted at RIMS Morgue in presence of a Duty Magistrate with full video coverage.
The three personnel include a Head Constable identified as Sanjay Kumar (42) who committed suicide after shooting the other two fellowmen dead.
The two who were killed in the shooting have been identified as Sub Inspector Ravi Ranjan Kumar (25) of Siswa Maldahiya district, Bihar and Constable Tilak Raj (58) of Gharani village, Jammu & Kashmir.
The shooting yesterday left eight persons also injured.
The mortal remains of the three CRPF personnel were deposited at RIMS Morgue at around 1 am today after an inquest was conducted at the scene of the incident inside Lamshang police station complex.
Constable Sanjay Kumar (42) hailed from Bigodana district, Rajasthan. His mortal remains have been flown to his home State.
The mortal remains of the other two personnel have been taken to 86th Battalion, CRPF Lamphel for floral tribute tonight.
Their bodies will be flown to their native States tomorrow morning from Bir Tikendrajit International Airport.
