4th MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament Punsiba hits unbeaten ton in YAL's 194-run thrashing of WYC, PTRC crush FORCE by 203 runs

IMPHAL, Jan 31 : YAL, Thoubal Leishangthem stunned WYC, Thoubal Wangkhem by handing a 194-run thrashing as PTRC, Patsoi prevail over FORCE by 203 runs in today's matches of the 4th MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament.
At Khudeiband Lampak, Taothong, YAL erected a monumental total of 227 runs for 1 wickets in 18 overs thanks to  Punsiba who hit an unbeaten 109 off 71 balls (15 fours) and Yohenba Keisham's 41-ball 64.
Chasing for the big total, WYC slumped to 33 all out in 8.1 overs to concede the Thoubal derby as Keisham Nongpoknganba (2/6 in 2 overs), Thoudam Gunindro (2/6 in 2 overs) and Keisham Yohenba (2/8 in 2 overs) combined well to set up the quick collapse.
Meanwhile at PTRC ground, Patsoi Part IV, the home grown team bounced back from their first game loss to overwhelm FORCE by 203 runs.
Priyojit Thongam scored an unbeaten 145 off 56 balls (22 fours and 7 sixes) and Mangal Sagolshem added a quickfire 92 off 37 balls (9 fours and 7 sixes) to inspire toss winners PTRC a commanding total of 289/2 in 16 overs.
Bush Sagolsem (2/16) and Mangal Sagolshem (2/4) then helped throttle the FORCE's unlikely chase and reduced them to 86/7 in the allotted 16 overs.
The day also saw THAU Thangmeiband registering a huge 9-wicket victory over CDCC, Sagolband Salam Leikai at Lairenjam Public Ground.
They restricted CDCC to 89/7 in the allotted 13 overs after choosing to field first in the rain hit match before chasing down the target in 11.1 overs thanks to Konthoujam Tomthinganba's 43-ball 71.
Elsewhere at Kongba Dhobi Lampak, SDO Keirao Makting beat CCK, Khongman by 26 runs and opened their Group A account.
