4th MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament YWC, SHADOW, TRAU ease to second victories

IMPHAL, Feb 1 : YWC, Langthabal; SHADOW, Thangmeiband and TRAU, Kwakeithel posted their second straight victories in 4th MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament today.
In the Group A match staged at Lairenjam Public Ground, CYSA, Khangabok opened their winning account after their first game loss as they bowled out PCC for 84 runs in 21.3 overs before chasing down the target in 13 overs with 6 wickets left to spare.
Ningthoujam Abungcha (3/16), M Sanathoi (2/14) and Phundreimayum Soheb (2/17) let the PCC demolition work before Laishram Danyson 24, Wangmen Aijak 13 and N Abungcha 10 not out set up the CYSA win.
In a Group E match staged at PTRC ground, Patsoi Part IV,  SHADOW erected 246 for all wickets down in 28.3 overs and bowled out YESSDAN for 196 runs in 27 overs.
Sagatpam Telheiba 56 off 38 balls, Arubam Goshan 71 off 67 balls and 76 extras lifted SHADOW to 246 before Sagatpam Telheiba enjoyed a fifer (5/33 in 6 overs) to devastate YESSDAN line up.
Manao Salam 38, Oinam Basanta 35, H Nganba 30 not out and H Bungo 26 were the leading run getters for YESSDAN in the chase that also saw H Chinglemba and N Pibarel picked two wickets apiece to aid S Telheiba.
Meanwhile at Khudeiband Lampak, Taothong, TRAU sealed their second Group F victory by demolishing LOTUS, Hiyanglam by 205 runs.
After opting to bat first, TRAU amassed a huge total of 333 runs for 2 wickets as Tyrus smacked 33 fours and 1 six on the way to his 109-run 187 and Ningthoujam Ambedkar scored an unbeaten 52 off 45 balls.
Arubam Rainson then snared 5 wickets by conceding 28 runs in 6 overs to set up the LOTUS collapse at 128 in 29.4 overs.
Meanwhile in the Group D league match staged at Kongba Dhobi Lampak, YWC-L crushed YPHUC by 7 wickets.
YWC-L, after opting to bat first, bowled out YPHUC for 106 runs in 29.1 overs riding on Irom Lanchenba (4/26 in 6 overs) and Leishangthem Chingthang (3/9 in 5.1 overs).
YWC-L then cruised to winning 108 with the help of Sayonba  who stayed unbeaten on 52 off 45 balls (8 fours and 1 six).
