IMPHAL, Feb 1 : MIUFC, Mayang Imphal beat ABA, Kshetrigao by 10-9 goals in a keenly contested match of the ongoing 4th Inter Club Futsal Tournament.
MIUFC led by 8-2 goals in the first half and overcame ABA comeback in the second half to seal the close victory today.
Livingstone and Gunajit added three goals apiece in this match for the Mayang Imphal team as Roshan added twice and Deny and Jack contributed a goal apiece.
Meanwhile, Md Sarfarash and Md Sohail Khan scored two goals apiece as Mustak MD, Md Rahamad, Anjim Ali and Zahir Khand added a goal apiece for ABA. The other goal came up in the form of an own goal by MIUFC's Yunus.
Later in the 41st match of the tournament, SSC eked out a 8-7 win against ESU in another neck and neck encounter. Loyumba scored five goals in SSC's win as K Soyet, Azumal, and Rauf added a goal apiece. Meanwhile, Lamjing M scored five goals alone, Md Muhadish added one and the other goal came in the form of an own goal from Rauf of SSC.
The 42nd match of the tournament was a lopsided affair with Poloi FC securing a 17-2 win over KIYC.
Paringanba scored 8 goals in this one sided match while Mangalsana scored 5 goals. Basudeva also scored twice for the team as Nelson and Richardson added a goal apiece.
Ishak Khan and Hamid were on target for KIYC.
With the win Poloi FC secured the final berth and will meet ESU in the title clash on February 3 at KIYC Artificial Turf ground, Kshetri Awang Leikai.
