TCMDC crush YCC by 81 runs for third straight win

IMPHAL, Jan 9 : TCMDC, Thongju crushed YCC, Wangkhei by 81 runs for the third straight win to finish Group C winners in the ongoing 21st Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament at Langthabal Public Ground today.
The result also meant that TCMDC qualified for the quarterfinals alongside Group C runners up LCCC, Lilong Chajing.
TCMDC opted to bat first today after winning the toss and piled up a huge total of 250 runs for 7 wickets in 30 overs as Th Tarun (64 off 50 balls) and L Krishna (55 off 33 balls) blasted off half centuries.
L Everest (2/51), Rahul (2/39) and Wilken (2/30) all picked two wickets for YCC in this innings before their chase collapsed at 169 for 8 in 30 overs despite fighting 48 from Loya.
Somorjit (2/21) and Damen K (2/21) shared four wickets for TCMDC as L Krishna, N Sanjit and Kh Bijesh picked a wicket apiece.
L Krishna who hit a half century and picked a wicket was adjudged player of the match.
