IW 2nd Divn Football : SOYO rout IUFC 6-0

IMPHAL, Jan 7 : M Wanglen scored a second half brace to help SOYO, Sanjenbam romp past IUFC, Awang Sekmai by 6-0 goals in the 7th match of the 12th 2nd Division Football League organised by the Imphal West District Football Association at PAMYAL ground, Patsoi yesterday.
It was the third straight victory for SOYO having beaten SJC, Salam and THAU in the previous matches.
SOYO started the game confidently and were ahead by 3-0 goals thanks to a flurry of goals from N Motilal (15'), P Paramjit (25') and M Suraj (35').
SOYO carried forward the onslaught after the break as well and took a 4-0 lead when S Tomba scored in the 58th minute before M Wanglen scored back to back in the 75th and the 77th minutes to complete the 6-0 rout.
Later in the day, MTSU, Malom and SJC played out a goalless draw.
