IMPHAL, Jan 7 : YWC, Langthabal (YWC-L) beat CDCC, Sagolband Salam Leikai by 6 wickets in the second semi-final match of the 4th MNCA Superplate Tournament yesterday to make their way back to the Elite tier and set up final date with RCA, Lilong.
CDCC won the toss and elected to bat first. They were however bundled out for 129 runs in 24.5 overs despite Mutum Jodiba's 86 quickfire off 61 balls as Maibam Subash wreaked havoc on the way to his four wicket haul (4/38 in 5.5 overs).
Pukhrambam Prashantamani (2/4), Y Vivek (1/20), S Robinson (1/27) and H Manikanta (1/14) were also among the wickets for YWC-L.
YWC-L then chased down the target in 27.3 overs thanks to Heisnam Manikanta's unbeaten 33 off 50 balls. Ngangbam Bikram 36, Jiko Sorokhaibam 23 and Ngangbam Bishwash 16 also made double digit runs in the chase which saw Fm Sarif (2/30) and Mutum Jodiba (1/27) sharing three wickets.
M Subash was eventually adjudged player of the match.
The final match is slated for January 9 at Moijing Public Ground.
