Houses gutted

IMPHAL, Jan 5: Four houses have been gutted in a fire last night at Moreh town, Tengnoupal district.
The fire, suspected to have originated from an electric short circuit, broke out at around 10.30 pm at Mission Veng near Hongkong Keithel under Moreh police station.
The fire broke out at one house and it soon spread to three other nearby houses. Soon after the fire broke out, a team of Manipur Fire Service rushed to the spot and managed to bring the fire under control before it could do more damage. The fire tenders doused the fire at around midnight. Although four houses were gutted by the fire, there was no report of any casualty.
