KRYPHSA thump UYPA 2-0 in IW 3rd Division Football League

IMPHAL, Jan 3 : KRYPHSA, Naoremthong thumped UYPA, Kha Jiri by 2-0 goals as TSFA rallied back to hold USC, Phayeng to a 2-2 draw in today's Group B league matches of the ongoing 6th Sh Mani Sharma Memorial 3rd Division Football League 2024-25.

KRYPHSA, who suffered a 3-4 loss to TSFA, Top Siphai in their opening encounter, produced a dominating performance and enjoyed a slender 1-0 first half lead before sealing the game 2-0 with another goal in the second half.

KRYPHSA found the lead through S Dharmajoy in the 23rd minute before M Bhumeshore hit the decisive goal in the 58th minute as UYPA failed to make the most of their chances in both the halves.

Later in the day, TSFA went ahead after 7 minutes through Taj Khan but USC, Phayeng fought back and came on level terms through N Bikram after 24 minutes.

After settling the first half in a 1-1 draw, both sides toiled in search of the lead and it were USC who converted a chance through Bidhichand in the 76th minute to overturn the lead. Their lead however did not last long as Taj Khan completed his double in a span of three minutes to bring TSFA back into the game.

Despite efforts, both teams failed to find the difference in the remainder of the game and eventually shared a wicket apiece.
