Training programme on SHP kicks off

IMPHAL, Jan 28: A three day training programme on School Health Programme (SHP) organised by State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Population Education Unit kicked off today at SCERT Lamphelpat.
The training programme was held under the aegis of National Population Education Project (NPEP).
NPEP New Delhi, Programme Coordinator and OSD of SCERT, Dr Yumnam Nandini stated that the training programme participated by 40 high school teachers from Imphal East district aims to provide special focus on counselling as part of School Health Programme.
Speaking on the opening day of the training programme, Professor Dr N Eliza of NB College stressed on the topics of "Merits and Demerits of Social Media (Cyber-Addiction), while RKSK Counsellor of CHC Nambol, Salam Malemnganbi stressed on the topic of "Physical and Mental Changes (Growth and Development" and Dr Wakabam Joyson stressed on the topic of "Misuse of Drugs and Substance" as resource persons.
