PTRC, PCC post similar wins in 2nd U-15 Women's One Day Trophy

IMPHAL, Jan 28 : PTRC, Patsoi and PCC, Mayaikoibi  registered similar wins in today's matches of the 2nd MNCA U-15 Women's One Day Trophy.
Opting to bat first at THAU ground, Thangmeiband, MPA could gather only 85 runs for 9 wickets in the allotted 30 overs before PTRC cruised to winning 88 with 5 wickets and 20 overs left to spare.
Yumnam Echapamu topscored with 11 runs in a dismal batting show for MPA as Laitonjam Benita (3/6 in 6 overs), Laishram Bigyapati Devi (2/15) and Laitonjam Linthoi (2/14) of PTRC shared 7 crucial wickets.
Laitonjam Purnima and Laishram Benika also picked a wicket apiece for PTRC who conceded a total of 57 extras in the first innings.
Chasing 86 for the win, Laitonjam Linthoi added best 21 off 38 balls before Laitonjam Narmada 7 and Thokchom Dimple 4 produced an unbeaten 6th wicket partnership to seal the victory. Pukhrambam Annanya and Chongtham Rushita of MPA picked up a wicket apiece.
Laitonjam Benita of PTRC was adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at PCC ground, Mayaikoibi, PCC eased to their second straight victory by handing FORCE, Kshetrigao a 7-wicket defeat.
FORCE were bundled out for 122 runs in 24.2 overs as PCC's Laishram Anjali ran through their line up snaring 6 wickets alone (6/42) and Keithellakpam Katrina (2/30) claiming two wickets before Okram Yashika 29 and Hemam Lingjen 20 produced an unbeaten 50-run partnership for the 4th wicket to seal the victory in 17.2 overs.
For FORCE, Rahamatun 23, Fajriya 16 and Sumeiya Shahni registered double digit scores before Rahamatun returned with the best bowling figures of 2/32 in 6 overs.
Laishram Anjali who produced an impeccable bowling performance was adjudged player of the match.
