Media tour to Prayagraj ends

Prayagraj, Jan 23 : The Prayagraj tour of 14 scribes from North East States officially came to an end with the scribes taking a holy dip at Triveni Sangam, the confluence of three holy rivers- Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati.
The scribes who were sheltering in a tent cottage at Prayagraj were taken to the historic confluence point by a PIB team led by Dileep Kumar Shukla.
Right from the beginning of the third day event (dipping or bath), the media persons were able to witness a sea of pilgrims plying for the Triveni and nearby ghat where thousands of people also take bath.
Getting smoothly past extensive security points, the convoy of media persons reached Arail Ghat along the bank of Jamuna river from where they were ferried to the Triveni Sangam off a VIP point. The scribes reached the points and took holy dip and marked the end of the tour.
All the media persons expressed gratitude to PIB which sponsored the tour that was beautifully facilitated by Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation.
