Heavy vehicles banned

IMPHAL, Jan 23: With a new bridge set to be constructed beside the existing Top Khongnangmakhong Bridge, heavy vehicles have been temporarily prohibited from crossing the bridge with effect from January 24.
PWD (Bridge Division) EE issued a notification to this effect today. The bridge will however remain open to light vehicles and pedestrians as usual.
