IMPHAL, Jan 21 : The second edition of Eikhoigi Imphal International Film Festival will be held from February 6 to February 9 in Imphal, announced festival director Sunzu Bachaspatimayum today.
Addressing a press conference at Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS) in this regard, Sunzu said that altogether 57 films including 13 Manipuri films will be screened during the festival.
He said that the films will be screened at four cinema halls including the one at MSFDS.  
There will also be a competition in two sections - fiction and  non-fiction, Sunzu continued and maintained that 11 feature films which include seven international films  and four Indian films including one Manipuri will compete in the fiction category.
In the non-fiction section, the competition will be among 10 films which include six international films, Sunzu added.
Saying that a 23 minute long short experimental film titled Delusional Decay will also be screened during the festival, Sunzu  appealed to the people to attend the festival.
Industry engagement programmes, panel discussions, cultural programmes will also be held as part of the festival  among other events, he added.
Many films which will be screened are uncensored, he said and appealed to the people to not bring underage children during public entry of the festival.
Saying that those who have a delegate card will be given full access during the festival, he added that those who don't possess a delegate card, however, have to buy a ticket for the film they want to watch.
Sunzu, meanwhile, said that some Manipuri celluloid films  have been digitised as part of the National mission to preserve cinematic heritage of the country and four of them will be screened during the festival as Remastered : The Light of Manipur Cinema.
The digitised classic films which will be screened are Ishanou, Sanakeithel, Yairipok Thambalnu and Chatledo Eidi.
