Construction Committee of Meetei Yumpham formed

IMPHAL, Jan 21 : The Delhi Meetei Co-ordinating Committee (DMCC) has announced the formation of the Construction Committee of Meetei Yumpham in Delhi.
DMCC, in a statement, said that the resolution to constitute the construction committee with the support of the people was taken during a programme  held on "Discourse on culture and tradition of Manipur" on January 19 at South Delhi.
The Meetei Yumpham will be a sacred place, a cultural hub and a community heart, DMCC said and added that Meetei Yum-pham  in Delhi is not just an initiative but also a testament to 'our collective spirit and a beacon of our cultural activities'.
DMCC further said that the Meetei Yumpham will be graced by the Temple of Lainingthou Sanamahi and Eputhou Pakhangba.
DMCC, meanwhile, said that a Core Committee of DMCC women's wing having 11 members was also constituted.
