Statehood Day greetings

IMPHAL, Jan 20 : Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla has conveyed best wishes and warm greetings to the people of Manipur on the occasion of the 53rd Statehood Day, 2025.
In a message, the Governor said that Manipur became a full-fledged State of the Indian Union on January 21, 1972 and has been making rapid progress in different fields of development since then.
He stressed on the need to sustain this pace to march in tandem with the rest of the country and the pursuit of welfare measures more vigorously based on equity where all citizens of the State irrespective of caste, creed or religion feel the sense of belonging to an egalitarian society. He also urged people to come together to make Manipur a peaceful and prosperous State.
Extending Statehood Day greetings, Education and Law & Legislative Affairs Minister Thounaojam Basanta Kumar Singh urged people to reflect on the journey and achievements of Manipur and the challenges people face.
Commemorating this significant milestone, he appealed everyone to renew their pledge to work together for the prosperity and development of Manipur and uphold the values of unity, peace, progress and strive to build a State everyone can be proud of.
