Kwakta Football Tournament underway

IMPHAL, Jan 19 : The Indian Army today kicked off the Kwakta Football Tournament in Bishnupur district. The tournament will run till January 31.
As many 16 men's teams, from Kwakta and adjoining areas, are in the fray for the title of the tournament, being played on a league cum knockout format.
The tournament is organised as a part of Indian Army's effort to promote sports and fitness among the youth of the region as well as to promote harmony and youth engagement. said PRO & Spokesperson, Ministry of Defence, Manipur, Nagaland and Southern Arunachal Pradesh in a statement.
