Decomposed body found

IMPHAL, Jan 18: A decomposed body of an unknown male was found at Imphal River near Sanjen-thong at around 9.35 am on January 16.
After thorough inquest of the spot by a mobile Forensic Science unit in the pre- sence of an Executive Magistrate, a team of Porompat police station picked up the body and deposited it at JNIMS mortuary.
A press release issued by he Officer-in-Charge of Porompat police station said that the dead body would be disposed of after obtaining permission from the competent authority if no one comes to claim it by 1 pm of January 22.
The deceased is about 163 cm (5’4”) in height but other particulars could not be specified as the body has decomposed.  
The deceased was wearing one hunting booth, one red cap, blue T-shirt, one white jacket, grey and brown collar-shirt, grey pants and dark blue half-pants, said the OC.
