Building on road pulled down

IMPHAL, Jan 19 : In a complete  disregard for law, a community hall was found erected in the middle of a road at Nongpok Ingkhol (Hatta).
This was shared by Chief Minister N Biren Singh on his Facebook post today.
He also said that a show cause notice has been sent to a leader of a political party for building a house by encroaching on a road at Babupara.
The Chief Minister, however, didn't take any name.
"Eikhoigee meesingse angakpa yam yaoriko, yengo lambi mayaida Community Hall sajilamlise. 26/A Nongpok Ingkhol (Hatta dani).
"Babupara da lambi mathakta khopchillaga yum saramba political party amagi leader dasu show-cause notice thakhre." read the post of N Biren.
Later in the day a bull dozer could be seen at work to pull down the said community hall, video clips of which have been shared widely on social media.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister  inspected the projects being taken up at Dhanamanjuri University (DMU) and Manipur Technical University (MTU), Takyel. In successive posts, the Chief Minister shared that the projects at the two universities are being taken up under the PM-DevINE scheme.
"Inspected the ongoing works at Dhanamanjuri University (DMU), which is being developed under the PM-DevINE scheme.
"These projects are a step towards creating world-class infrastructure and enhancing the academic environment at DMU, which is set to become a leading institution of higher learning and innovation in the region."
"Visited Manipur Technical University (MTU), Takyel, Imphal, for an inspection. "Under the PM-DevINE scheme, necessary infrastructure and facilities are being developed to ensure smooth administration and effective functioning of the University. We are committed to equipping MTU with the best resources to nurture and empower our youth and students," read the posts.
