State Level Invitation Wushu C'ship Central Wushu Institute amass 11 gold medals on Day 2 to intensify title campaign

IMPHAL, Jan 17 : Central Wushu Institute (CWI) won as many as 11 medals on Day 2 of the State Level Invitation Wushu Championship to intensify their title campaign.
The championship is hosted by Wushu Academy Thounaojam in association with Bishnupur District Wushu Association at Thounaojam community hall.
Nameirakpam Mahenba won CWI a gold medal in the Group C Nanquan competition as compatriot Laishram Yaichenba settled for the silver medal.
Thoisana Tekcham of Imphal East meanwhile won the gold medal in the girls Group C Nanquan event.
Konthoujam Devirani of CWI and compatriot Sanaroj Thongjam won the gold and silver medal in the Group C Taijiquan competition for girls as Thingnam Indrapal sealed the boys' gold medal.
In the Jianshu competition for Group C boys, Yumnam Nganba of CWI emerged on top as Ningombam Jia Chanu of CWI won the girls' top honour.
EWA's Koijam Lanchenba earned a gold medal in the Group C boys' Daoshu event as Nameirakpam Ahenbi of CWI bagged the girls' gold medal. Maisnam Manithoiba of Imphal East in the meantime clinched Group B boys' Daoshu event gold.
Nameirakpam Mathoibi of Imphal East claimed the Group B girls' Taijiquan event gold medal and Soma Nongmaithem of SAIRC won the silver as Reinold Hanjabam of CWI and Koijam Tamphaton of EWA bagged the boys and girls' gold medals in the Group B Nangun event.
Lanchenbi Khangembam of CWI added another gold medal to the unit's tally finishing first in the Group B girls' Gunshu event.
Maibam Pameshwori Devi of EWA meanwhile sealed the gold medal in the Group A girls' Nandao competition as Keya Hanjabam of CWI finished second to earn a silver medal.
Huidrom Bidyasagar of CWI won the Group A boys' Jianshu event gold as compatriot RK Bishes notched up the Taijiquan event gold for Group A boys.
