DA installs divider

Senapati, Jan 17: To reduce traffic congestion in Senapati District Headquarter, especially along Senapati bridge, the Senapati Administration along with District Police, District Transport Office, NHIDCL, CSOs and Town Committee joined together to install divider along the congested NH-2 stretch.
The initiative was executed by Deputy Commissioner Mamoni Doley, IAS along with Traffic Police OC Th. Marcus, DTO Joseph Sangkhil, PD/DRDA PP Ronald, MCS and Town Committee leaders.
The road dividers were placed along Senapati River bridge till Old road entrance.
The Deputy Commissioner said that installing such a divider along the NH-2 stretch will reduce traffic jams to certain extent.
She also appeals to the public to drive safely by following traffic rules and regulations to avoid accidents and unnecessary traffic jams in the already congested NH-2 stretch in DHQ.
Soon after the installation, the Traffic Police team led by OC Marcus along with DTO Joseph personally supervised the flow of traffic.
The Senapati District Transport Office will soon be observing the Road safety week by Monday and also conduct various activities during the said observation, said Joseph Sangkhil.
