IMPHAL, Jan 16: ABA Kshetrigao and Khagee Club, Kyamgei Mamang Leikai have booked spots in the semifinals of the 7th Th (O) Nganbi Devi Memorial Football Tournament 2025.
ABA Kshetrigao beat WPC Angtha 1-0 in the 3rd quarterfinal match today to enter the semifinals.
Khagee Club, Kyamgei Mamang Leikai beat BSU Keirao 1-0 in the 4th quarterfinal match to book a spot in the semifinals.
With the wins today, ABA Kshetrigao and Khagee Club have joined YBC Langdum and FFCCA--teams which have already entered into the semis.
ABA Kshetrigao 1-0 WPC Angtha
In the 3rd quarterfinal match, T Altab scored the lone and winning goal for ABA Kshetrigao in the 25th minute.
While ABA Kshetrigao looked to extend the lead for a comfortable win, WPC fought to find an equalizer.
WPC's hard-work, however, did not pay off as the team failed to score an equalizer till the end of the match.
Khagee Club 1-0 BSU Keirao
In the 4th quarterfinal match, BSU Keirao suffered an early setback conceding a goal in the 17th minute from Kiran-the star of the day for Khagee Club.
BSU fought back but couldn't find the net handing Khagee Club a spot in the semifinals.
Quarterfinal matches yesterday
YBC Langdum and FFCCA Angtha have already booked spots in the semifinals with their wins against SDA Kyamgei Muslim and KYO Nongthombam Leikai yesterday.
YBC Langdum beat SDA Kyamgei Muslim 1-0.
FFCCA Angtha thrashed KYO Nongthombam Leikai 8-1.
The league cum knockout tournament is being organised by the Social Workers' Congress, Khongman at its playground since January 5.
