DTO now at Kamjong

IMPHAL, Jan 16: District Transport Office (DTO), Kamjong was opened today under the Directorate of Transport.
DTO Kamjong was opened at a simple function held at the conference hall of Transport Minister Khashim Vashum.
Apart from Transport Minister Khashim Vashum, Phungyar AC MLA Leishiyo Keishing, Transport Secretary Michael Achom and Transport Director Nivedita Lairenlakpam were present at the function.
Since the creation of Kamjong district, the people of the district have been facing many difficulties due to the absence of a District Transport Office.
With DTO Kamjong now opened, the inconveniences faced by the people can be addressed to a great extent.
Even though no District Transport Officer has been appointed for Kamjong district yet, District Transport Officer, Ukhrul would take the additional charge of District Transport Officer, Kamjong for the time being.
