50 acres of poppy plantation destroyed

Ukhrul, Jan 13: A combined team of security forces destroyed 50 acres (approximately) of poppy plantation at Mullam village under LM Block, Ukhrul district today.
The poppy destruction drive was led by Addl SP, Ukhrul Ringthing Hongchui that included a team of Ukhrul district police, 6 MR, Forest Department, BSF and 8 Bihar Regiment.
The operation carried out in the hill ranges of Mullam area of Ukhrul district was taken out as a part of war on drugs.
