IMPHAL, Jan 13: The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal has refuted an allegation regarding its outsourcing of services to a firm as "fake".
A document dated October 27, 2024 claiming allotment of a work order for manpower outsourcing services to HSCC (India) Ltd is being circulated. This document claims that a tender amount of Rs 300 crore has been allotted for a period of five years. The said document is fake, fabricated, and has no connection whatsoever with the institute, said RIMS in a statement issued today.
No such work order has been issued by RIMS, and the claims mentioned in the document are baseless, it added.
"The public is strongly advised not to believe or act upon any information from unverified sources. Any official communication from RIMS, Imphal, will be disseminated only through our official website or other authorized channels. We urge everyone to verify any such claims directly from the official website of RIMS at [www.rims.edu.in] or contact the institute for clarification," said the institute.
"RIMS is committed to maintaining transparency in all its operations, and we take this opportunity to caution against the circulation or reliance on such fraudulent documents," it added.
Appropriate legal action will be initiated against individuals or entities involved in creating or spreading false information, RIMS said.
