Karam FC beat MIUFC 2-1 as YDCL pull off 5-1 win over HA FC-B in 5th Chandranadi Trophy

IMPHAL, Jan 13 : Karam FC and YDCL, Pungdongbam emerged winners in today league matches of the ongoing 5th Chandranadi Trophy at  Haoreibi Kangjeibung.
In the Group B opener staged this afternoon, Karam FC edged past MIUFC by 2-1 goals thanks to goals coming from Amarjit (24') and Pritriba (31'). Gunajit scored the consolation goal for MIUFC in the 43rd minute.
Later in the Group E opening match, YDCL pulled off a massive 5-1 win over Haoreibi Apunba FC-B (HA FC-B) courtesy of a brace from Chourjit.
YDCL were ahead after 10 minutes as Khana found the breakthrough but Johnson pulled level for Haoreibi FC-B within 6 minutes.
The parity did not last long as Ronaldo of Haoreibi FC-B conceded an own goal two minutes into the added time of the first half (25+2') to hand YDCL the 2-1 advantage.
YDCL further extended the lead to 3-1 with Akash converting a goal in the 30th minute before Chourajit netted back to back in the 46th and the 50th minutes to make the final scoreline read 5-1.
World Pro Langthabal will play Narankonjil FC in the next match tomorrow in the Group F opener from 1.30 pm before Samurou SFS take on Urup Arapti FC in the Group C opener from 3 pm.
