AR rescues 14 civilians from deep gorge in Ukhrul

UKHRUL, Jan 10: A timely and efficient rescue operation conducted by the Assam Rifles helped rescue 14 civilians of a tragic incident near Mapum village Ukhrul district, providing urgent aid to the injured victims.
According to the IGAR (South), the incident occurred when a vehicle (Mahindra Pick-up) veered off the road nearby Mapum village of Ukhrul district and plunged into a deep gorge.
The rapid response of Assam Rifles from Mapum post with a medical team ensured the victims received prompt evacuation and first aid.
The Assam Rifles team worked tirelessly to extricate the victims from the wreckage, providing immediate medical life support.
The injured civilians were further evacuated to District
hospital in Ukhrul.
