CM distributes PMKVY certificates to IDPs

Imphal, Jan 10 (DIPR) : Chief Minister N Biren Singh distributed skill certificates to successfully trained candidates under Centrally Sponsored State Managed (CSSM) component of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 4.0 Special Project for 2023-2024 at Chief Minister’s Secretariat, today.
The certificates were distributed to 28 inmates residing in  relief camps located at Sawombung and Mangolnganbi College, Ningthoukhong.
During the programme, the Chief Minister appreciated the members of the Manipur Seva Samiti and Humanism Foundation for extending assistance in providing skill training to the internally displaced persons (IDPs).
He added that the Government has been working tirelessly to book those culprits who are involved in any violent act and causing harm to other people.
The Government is making arrangements to facilitate safe return of the inmates to their respective homes where the law-and-order situation has improved, he said.
N Biren informed that those who had undergone training in different fields successfully could avail collateral free financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to start a small business.
Further, they can avail loan up to Rs 10,00,000 with 30 percent grant, under schemes introduced by the State Government to expand their businesses, the Chief Minister said.
The Chief Minister urged the people not to believe in any unfounded and unverified information which are politically inclined to create further unrest in the State.
Social Welfare Minister Heikham Dingo, Patsoi AC MLA Sapam Kunjakeswor, representatives from Humanism Foundation and Manipur Seva Samiti and relief camp inmates were present during the programme among others.
