Blood donation camp held

A 1-day blood donation camp was successfully conducted today at Shija Blood Center & Transfusion Services, Langol on the theme, "No to Drugs, Yes to Health".
The camp was organised by Shija Blood Center & Transfusion Services in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Thoubal District Branch, Kanglei Chanura & Youth Red Cross Unit of Waikhom Mani Girl's College, Thoubal, said a release issued by Shija Hospitals & Research Institute Pvt Ltd.
Altogether, 40 persons donated their blood during the camp.
K Sadananda Singh, secretary, IRCS, Thoubal District Branch; Gautam Thokchomacha, state blood coordinator, IRCS Manipur and W Rakesh Singh, blood coordinator, IRCS, Thoubal District Branch also took part in the camp.
As part of the event, Lairellakpam Babychan Chanu was honoured with an appreciation certificate and memento for her dedication to donating blood 17 times.
