The People Action Committee (PAC) Against the Brutal Killing of Pravish Chanam at Greater Noida has informed all that due to the prevailing crisis in Manipur the observation of the 7 Death Anniversary of Late Pravish Chanam will be observed only by the family members and members of PAC at the residence of Pravish Chanam.
In a release, PAC extended its solidarity with the people of Manipur who have been facing a lot of hardship due to the ongoing conflict which began on May 3, 2023.
PAC recalled that since the death of Pravish Chanam, due to the pressure from the people, the investigation was handed over to the CBI and the closure report was submitted to the SPLJM (CBI), Ghaziabad Court by the CBI/SCB, Lucknow Branch.
"The Protest Petition was submitted against the Closure report and reinvestigation was directed by the Court. For the second time, the Closure Report was submitted by the CBI/SCB, Lucknow after the investigation, mentioning that there is no foul play being observed during the course of investigation, therefore, the investigation is concluded, hence the closure report is being submitted before the Court. For the second time, a Protest Petition has been submitted and the hearing is scheduled on September 30, 2024 at the SPL.JM (CBI), Ghaziabad Court as informed by the Ld Counsel of Pravish Chanam", it added.
PAC also asserted the committee, family members and people of Manipur are eagerly waiting for justice and looking forward to the judgment of the Court of Law of SPLJM (CBI), Ghaziabad Court.
Further, PAC appealed to the SPLJM (CBI), Ghaziabad Court to serve justice at the earliest in the best interest of the family of the deceased.
