Charan FC emerge 3rd Paona Memorial Football tourney champs

IMPHAL, Sep 30 : Charan FC were crowned the champions of the 3rd Paona Memorial 9-A-Side Football Tournament organised by EEO, Lamding at its ground.
Charan FC defeated Yairipok FC by a slender 1-0 margin in the final to earn the top honour. The lone goal that settled the game was scored by Lilin in the 42nd minute.
Lilin, who scored the winner, was also adjudged best player of the tournament as his teammate Dinesh was declared best goalkeeper.
Bungson of Yairipok FC was declared best defender as Mahadish of Saruk FC emerged top scorer of the tournament.
Ibosana FC in the meantime earned the best disciplined team title of the tournament.
