Juvenile, YAC victorious in IW 1st Divn Football League

IMPHAL, Sep 29 : Juvenile, Tera edge BMSC, Taobungkhok 2-1 as YAC thumped SCK, Kodompokpi 2-0 in today's matches of the 29th L Sangita Devi Memorial 1st Division League being organised by the Imphal West District Football Association at PAMYAL ground, Patsoi.
In the third match of the tournament (Group A), SCK and YAC had a cautious start and entered into the break goalless before N Ronaldo (69') and Md Alibas (70') quick-fired two back to back goals for YAC and set up the 2-0 win.
The match also saw N Sanathoi sof SCK and Kh Joykishan of YAC being sent off in the 83rd minute reducing both sides to 10-man.
Later in a Group B match, Juvenile and BMSC played out a evenly matched game but Shital's second half goal made all the difference.
Juvenile were first to score with Tikendrajit finding the net after 15 minutes but BMSC fought back and drew level through W Anil within 7 minutes.
After the restart both sides exchanged runs to find the lead until Shital scored to put Juvenile ahead after 66 minutes.
The Taobungkhok side struggled to come to level terms in the later part of the game but Juvenile defence did well to fend off all charges and walked away with all three points.
PAMYAL, Patsoi will play BMSC in the next match on October 1 from 12.30 pm before NC Club play YAC later from 2.30 pm.
