Manipur Basketball Association mourns demise of young State player H Pamel

IMPHAL, Sep 27
The Manipur Basketball Association has mourned the untimely demise of young State player Hawaibam Pamel Singh on September 25 at his Brahmapur Nahabam residence.
A condolence meeting was convened yesterday in honour of H Pamel who represented Manipur in the National Sub-Junior Basketball Championship held from August 3 to 9 last in Puducherry, at the office of the Manipur Basketball Association with Hidangmayum Radhacharan in the chair.
The members of the association and the well wishers of the late player, who played for ESU, attended the condolence meeting, said the Manipur Basketball Association in a condolence note.
The attendees observed two minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul and prayed for his soul to rest in peace, it said.
The association also shared sympathy with the bereaved family members, it added.
