Court grants bail

IMPHAL, Sep 27 :  The Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal West has granted bail to Laishram Ratan, former Branch Manager of Bank of Baroda, Manipur University Branch Canchipur  who was arrested in connection with the looting of gold worth around 4 crore from the safe of the bank by unknown persons on September 12.
Laishram Ratan (37), s/o Mahajon of Khangabok Awang Leikai who was the Branch Manager of Bank of Baroda, Manipur University branch from 25 November 2021 till 1st June 2024 was arrested on September 25 during the investigation of the case.
He was produced before the Court by a team of Singjamei police  on completion of his police custody period along with prayer to send him to judicial custody.
