IMPHAL, Sep 27: The Koireng-led UNLF has taken serious note of the assault of of one Wilubou Marenmai from Kanglatongbi was severely assaulted by two youths impersonating as UNLF near Sekmai LPG bottling plant.
A statement issued by the Koireng-led UNLF’s secretary of publicity M Shak-Hen said that the outfit strongly condemns such reckless behaviour of the two rogues during these turbulent times of ethnic tension created by India’s proxy war sponsoring Kuki militants to attack and devastate the Meitei community.
It said that the UNLF always stands for communal harmony and peaceful co-existence between the ethnic indigenes, and never does such things which harm peaceful co-existence among the indigenous people.
There are rogues and renegades who are under the tutelage of Indian State and their armed forces whom they use to create communal flare up and destroy the communal fabric of the  people and ultimately divide Manipur, it said.
“We sincerely appeal to our Liangmai community, particularly LNKRM to  remain alert and think calmly so that together we can defeat such communal and divisive forces which are antagonistic to our society”, it added.
